CoolSpin design for desktop computers
The Deskstar™ 5K3000 hard drive provides an enormous 3TB capacity and features innovative CoolSpin technology to deliver a greater level of power efficiency and quiet operation for energy-conscious, environmentally-friendly computers. I did a little research and found this was a slightly upgraded model over the BEST model, not anything crazy but it was only a couple $$$ difference. If you need a great all around drive for great price this is a good one.

Well this is a great drive from Hitachi, I bought two 2TB from the same series about 6 months ago and wanted two 3TB to put in another NAS enclosure. The only problem I can see is the price went up a lot! When I looked at the 3TB last time they were around 110$, now they're easily 180$ and up! But when you need space, you don't have much of a choice...
